One Plus 7 Pro Review

Hey Guys, Welcome back to Interesting Intelligence! Today, I am going to share my review on the OnePlus 7 Pro. This is the fastest android phone on the market- has no nodge, no hole but is somehow VERY water resistant. Let's begin.

The OnePlus 7 Pro was just announced. It's a phone that I've actually been watching from past weeks.
The most important feature of this phone is its screen. It's a high-resolution screen: 1440p, higher than any other OnePlus phone to this date. It's also a large screen. If you look at pictures and stuff, it doesn't give a clear example of how big this phone actually is. Now the two main features of the screen are the 90 Hertz refresh rate as well as the fact that it has no nodge or no kind of cutouts or any kind of disruptions in the display while you are using the front panel. So the 90 Hertz refresh is very difficult to showcase in a blog. Basically, the whole UI, the whole phone becomes significantly smoother than it actually is. Everything looks better: Games, UI, browsing around the web and everything looks super smooth. It supposedly uses a little bit more battery.

The removal of the nodge is something that looks really nice.
A lot of companies have actually been in pursuit of that completely clean front-facing screen. These guys have achieved it, obviously, they have done a kind of trick with the camera to do so, It is a very clean looking screen. I think it makes content or anything on your phone look really nice
Now, there is one feature of the screen that I don't love. It's the edge so if you have used any kind of OnePlus phone in the past they have a flat surface, like a flat glass surface. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a curved edge. It looks great in pictures, videos, commercials but in terms of functionality, it doesn't really bring all that much to the table. If you are not used to that screen, its gonna be something you'll get used to or something you'll dislike regardless of how much you use it. I personally don't like the curved display but the screen is fantastic. It is actually one of the best-looking displays in the entire market: Really high brightness, good colours with high refresh rate and its got that completely nodgeless screen which I really like.

The purpose of this completely clean front is so that it looks a particular way but to achieve this they had to use this weird camera mechanism. The camera is on this motorized mechanism that you have to activate it to pop up. So, if you are taking a selfie,  you press the button and it will pop up. It pops up pretty quickly but when it comes to stuff as face unlocks, it'll pop up, recognize your face and will pop back down. That whole process of popping up and down is slow enough that it will make you not use face unlock and it will make you go for fingerprint unlock instead. This is very unfortunate because OnePlus phones have extremely fast face unlock features.
In the OnePlus 6T, you'll look at it and its there. You don't even realize that it was locked, It's that quick and now it's kind of annoying that you have to deal with a slower version. Most people will hence lean towards the fingerprint unlock over the face unlock which is really fast. The pop-up camera also has this feature, it's kind of like a fall sensor. If it detects a big enough shift in the accelerometer, it will retract the camera in an attempt to close up the camera system before it hits the ground. It's kind of a safety mechanism and its cool that they actually thought of that.

This phone also has a couple of other noteworthy features. It now has stereo-speakers. It's something that OnePlus phones have been missing forever and it's nice to finally have them It also has a new haptic engine if you have used OnePlus's previous phones you'll notice it doesn't have a strong vibratory motor. It is much improved on this model. In fact, it is one of the best haptic engines in the market.

It now has a three-camera system and I would say that's the biggest improvement in terms of the camera system, forget about the processing and stuff like that. The fact that it has a wide angle and a 3x zoom makes the camera system much more useful. I wouldn't say that the image quality itself has improved a lot, It is very OnePlus still you can zoom in and spot imperfections but the camera is great, It's not the best out there but most of you will be happy with it.

It's also a very fast phone. It's running on Snapdragon 855 and UFS 3.0 so it's incredibly fast. It also has 12GB of RAM.
The battery is also quite big, its 4000mAH battery. It also has WARP this year so if you are unfamiliar with WARP charging. It's a very fast 30W charger. The phone will fill completely with battery in approximately an hour and a half and 50% will be reached in around 25 minutes. It can run for 7 hours on heavy usage.

Now let's talk about the pricing. So OnePlus, when they first started they put out a 300$ phone, they were in the business of killing flagships for really low pricing and over the years they've bumped up the price a little bit, not unexpectedly or in an unfair manner. Now, suddenly they come out with a 700$ phone, they still have the normal OnePlus 7 no one is forcing you to buy the Pro version. I was a bit disappointed with the price at first. I would not consider myself a OnePlus enthusiast but at least a OnePlus appreciater. I enjoy the brand, I like what they've done in the past and for them to drop a 700$ phone felt so out of place for the brand like they've always been for the budget market focusing on value. It just felt, unlike the brand. I can understand why the OnePlus cult is disappointed but then I took a step back and realized that this phone is not for the people who buy a 400$ - 500$ phone, they still have the regular OnePlus 7 for the mid-tier market. This phone is for a completely different segment of users. I like the fact that they made something which feels different in that premium market. They didn't copy another brand and made another version of it, they made their own variant of it. They worked on the screen and skipped on IP rating which is fine.

If you're interested in OnePlus 7 Pro you are probably also looking at Samsung S10+ FOR 700$. If I had to choose: OnePlus 7 Pro has a better screen, cleaner software, and frequent updates. On the other side, Samsung has wireless charging, headphone jack, and better customer support. It is indeed a tough decision but I would probably choose OnePlus only because of that 90 Hertz screen but understand that it is a pretty big phone, also on the positive side, note that it's completely water resistant.

Apple's AirTags

This blog is to discuss if AirTags really prevent thefts... Misusage So I read a lot of theories on how these tags are actually helping in the thefts. So if you are a thief and stealing a bike with an AirTag, you get a notification on your iPhone and then you can easily disable that. But, it's not so easy. The Tag does not notify you that an AirTag is with you until you reach a landmark. So that the owner knows you stopped at that landmark. Maybe your house, mall or a restaurant. Now there is one problem with this. If I have an AirTag and I plant it in your bag for example. So you won't know something with a GPS is with you giving your location and telling the landmark you are at. So people can track you and that is both scary and creepy. Good or Bad? Eh.. A bit of both. So, it's great if someone is trying to steal your stuff but, it's creepy when someone is stalking your movement. But, this is the first time Apple is doing this so it is not perfect but, I believe it is...

17' Razer Blade Pro 2019

Hey Guys, Welcome back to Interesting Intelligence! This laptop is SO much better than the previous blade pro. The thermals are crazy good. I would say that it is their best gaming laptop with awesome thermal performance. This laptop is brand new from this year, It is completely redesigned. It is their most expensive, most powerful and the most big-screened gaming laptop and it's a nice looking unit. I like this laptop a lot, however, there are some things which I want you to know if you're interested in picking this thing up! 1) Hardware The build of this device is very similar to the build of the 15' this year. It's got the same kind of design, shape, the light-up snake logo up front. It is very much an updated Razer product. I highly recommend you for getting a case or skin it if you buy a black one because even with very safe handling this device sometimes has dents and they are very much visible on a black one.         This laptop is obviously big...

Intel's Trap

This is my blog to review Acer Triton 300 SE, Asus Dash F15 and MSI Stealth 15M's performance with the Intel H35 chips. I will also talk about the competition between Intel and AMD. Many gaming laptops are coming out, and some of them are good, especially the new AMD ones but if you are looking to buy a laptop and your choice has an Intel chip; You have been fooled! So I am going to talk about some new Intel devices and then about Intel in general. Now I have nothing against Intel, in fact, I myself am typing this on an Intel device. Asus Dash F15 This machine has a 4-core CPU. So, this makes it easy to cool, lighter, thinner, and you would think cheaper. So it is a nice idea. But, Asus didn't make it cheap. So it does not really make sense anymore. This laptop will cost you 1700$, and you can get 8-core Asus devices in that range so why would somebody go for this?  The gaming performance is good as it has RTX 3070, and most of the games will give you a good frame...
