Asus G15: My new favourite?

This is my review of the G15 GA503. This is the best gaming laptop right now. And it is my favourite device of this year.

Aesthetics

When I heard of this device, I knew it was going to be a good one. It is an easily recognizable device as it has dots on the lid, which are only their on the G14 and G15. They don't look bad, but you can get stuff stuck in there, and it cannot be cleaned easily but, it is effortless to make it dirty. There are no LED lights on the dots anymore, if that matters to you. And the RGB colours are more visible on the dark version instead of the white one. The chassis is perfect. It is not very big in size and weighs only 2kg, but that does not mean less power.

Keyboard and Screen

The keyboard rises up when you open the laptop like every Asus keyboard. And it is a good keyboard. The clicks are good, and it looks nice, but I have one complaint. There is no 'Print Screen' key, and if you depend on it, I am sorry, but you have to look somewhere else. The backlight is greyish-white, and it is very dim. So it is not really visible on the white laptop, and that's why I prefer the black one. The trackpad is nice and big. The speakers on the side look cool and sound better than your average gaming laptop speakers. The screen is good enough for me. It has a high resolution, and I am satisfied with 1440p.

Performance

The panel may not be perfect for people who play heavy games like Cyberpunk. So if you use the highest video quality with 1440p, it puts a little strain on the laptop but, that's okay. Now, I think the best configuration for this laptop is the 1799$ one with RTX 3070. The RTX 3080 one is available but, I don't like it. It is better than the 3070 one but, the difference is not worth it.

Thermals

I will suggest you go for the RTX 3070 unless you absolutely need 3080 which the majority of the people don't. There is another advantage with 3080 that you can extend the RAM from 16 to 32 and 3070 can be from 8 to 24. So if you need 32GB then you will have to but the RTX 3080 version for 2500$. This laptop uses liquid metal to cool. But, I think the liquid metal is only there on the CPU because the GPU is hotter than I would like it to be. The fans give you three modes: silent, balanced and turbo. But, I think you need something between turbo and balance because the balanced mode is not enough and the turbo one is too loud. Although that is not a major problem because you can manually tweak it according to you. So, overall the thermals are quite good.

Problems

The battery is quite good. It gives 6.5 hours for a 15-inch screen which is solid. The port selection is decent. 2USB A, 2USB C and 1 AC Adapter. The USB C won't charge super-fast but, it works. I think overall this is a really good laptop. And it is most likely to be the laptop of the year. There are very few problems but, if I had to pick; I don't like that the port for the adapter is halfway along the length of the laptop. I am very picky about software and the software needs some work. Also, the screen receives a lot of heat which is a bit concerning. Otherwise, it is one of the best laptops out there.

    1. You cannot choose one company to do good everywhere. Dell laptops are good but, this laptop is better than any Dell 'gaming' laptop. And Dell does not have more than 32 GB RAM, atleast not in every laptop

17' Razer Blade Pro 2019

Hey Guys, Welcome back to Interesting Intelligence! This laptop is SO much better than the previous blade pro. The thermals are crazy good. I would say that it is their best gaming laptop with awesome thermal performance. This laptop is brand new from this year, It is completely redesigned. It is their most expensive, most powerful and the most big-screened gaming laptop and it's a nice looking unit. I like this laptop a lot, however, there are some things which I want you to know if you're interested in picking this thing up! 1) Hardware The build of this device is very similar to the build of the 15' this year. It's got the same kind of design, shape, the light-up snake logo up front. It is very much an updated Razer product. I highly recommend you for getting a case or skin it if you buy a black one because even with very safe handling this device sometimes has dents and they are very much visible on a black one.         This laptop is obviously big...

16' MacBook Pro

These are my thoughts on 2019 16' MacBook Pro with improved thermals, better specs and new Radeon Pro 5000M Series GPUs. This laptop has been rumoured forever and many people had this device on their wishlists as well. This device is something special. The 16' inch screen is the least interesting thing to me. It looks like this is a device launched after a long time where they really cared about what users actually want. This laptop is slightly bigger and heavier than the 15' model which is obvious. The top of the keyboard now has a physical escape key and the keyboard is no longer a Butterfly keyboard it is now upgraded to a Scissor-Switch keyboard. It has a very similar mechanism to an iMac. The key-press travel has increased from 0.5mm to 1mm. It is a significant improvement and anybody who does not like MacBooks for the new keyboards; " Welcome home". The tried to use the Butterfly keyboard but I am glad that they are done with them, The second thi...

Surface Pro X

This is my review of the Microsoft Surface Pro X. Do you think this ARM-based tablet can compete with the iPad Pro or Surface Pro? Surface Pro X is a product which was clearly designed to compete with what iPads offer. This is a thin, elegant looking, magnetically attached tablet that has an ergonomic design that looks good with good battery life and still runs Windows 10 for the functionality that people want in a computing device. I am gonna start with hardware and then I will come to user experience. This is not a super-light machine. It is slightly lighter than the regular Surface Pro. It has a bigger screen and thinner bezels and is heavier than an iPad Pro. The finish of this device is black anodized aluminium. I also found that some of the edges have got sharper. Due to the sharp edges, this device becomes prone to damages which generally should not be the case in premium Surface devices. Protect this stuff! I highly recommend a skin for this device. This is a go...
